Tie a Yellow Ribbon Round the Ole Oak Tree

Wow, is it 2012 already? I’d say that it is time to get blogging about all of the amazing events of the past year! 2011 was a year filled with so many different styles of weddings. Each couple had details that represented their personalities and made their big day memorable.

Let’s start off with a recap of a colorful wedding at a local park. Now I know what a lot of you brides-to-be are thinking….."How do you make a wedding at a local park unique?" So many people see the space and think it is just a park. I see it as a blank canvas. There are so many details that you can do to make it unique and stand out from the typical church and ballroom wedding.

Vibrant pops of color like the red, yellow, and orange of this wedding create a feeling of extreme happiness. From the colored lanterns in the trees to the brightly colored pinwheels outlining the ceremony area, the wedding decor turned a ho-hum park into a dazzling display of love!

Beautiful baskets filled with sunflowers and lilies lined the aisle.

Even the pre-ceremony refreshments were red, yellow, and orange.

The tent for the Dixieland Jazz Band was decorated with baskets of flowers and streamers in the wedding colors.

One of the biggest complaints of guests at outdoor weddings is the blazing sun and heat. Why not make them comfortable and at the same time create a colorful backdrop for your photos by offering parasols.
